I know I'm a little bit late with this entry, but the old addage still rings true...Better late than never. Our day in court was this past Wed. and as soon as I awakened I learned that Michelle (Jer and Ashley's Mom) had signed the papers agreeing to temporary custody. Luckily for Jer and Ash they didn't have to go to the court house with us to confirm these latest developments in front of the judge. In a couple of months we are supposed to go back to court to finalize custody.
Today was a day for surprises. I got off work at 7am, went to bed around 9am, and Kevin called me at 2pm saying we were meeting his parents, aunts, and cousin at Luby's Cafeteria for dinner at 6pm. Unfortunately, nothing works better than a crisis to bring family members together. It was a decent meal and lively conversation was also on the menu.
