I made this for my Friday afternoon cocktail hour recently--it was deliciously refreshing and made a great summer drink.
1 bottle Spanish dry white wine (750 ml)
3/4 cup white rum
1/4 cup Grand Marnier
1 orange, sliced thin and crosswise
1 lime, sliced into thin rounds, then quartered
2 cups cubed fruit (cantaloupe, honeydew, and/or peaches)--I used frozen peaches
3 cups (2 cans) natural lemon-lime soda
Combine all ingredients except the lemon-lime soda in a pitcher. Chill in the refrigerator at least five hours or overnight.
Immediately before serving, stir in the lemon-lime soda. Pour into chilled glasses and serve.
