Two good things to report. Friday's trip to the Loop to enjoy a night of theater was so enjoyably. The Storefront Theater is a small venue of only 99 seats. The room was not filled to capacity probably because the performance of Vincent in Braxton was still in review. The calibre of performances (we've seen two) has been consistently excellent. Set design, costumes, direction was all top notch. I'm not an expert, by any means, but there wasn't a dull moment. A funny thing happened.............the widow said something to Vincent about being transferred to London when actually he was being transferred to Paris. With one breath, the audience softly said, "Paris." The clearly seasoned actress didn't miss a beat though she was probably not expecting inter-active theater.

That's great the play was good--I was going to post a comment on your previous entry to ask how it was, and now I don't have to do that. I miss going to plays--have tried some here and there in Austin, but of course nothing here is at the level of the Alley in Houston . . . plus most of the Austin items seem to be musicals. I prefer plays.

Great anecdote re London/Paris. It makes me smile even on the re-reading.

(AHN) - Paris Hilton’s 2006 has started with lawsuits coming out the ying-yang.

Reports are surfacing that a close friend of Paris Hilton’s boyfriend Stavros Niarchos has accused the heir-head of using racial insults against him, tagging him a “lazy Mexican.”

Brian Quintana, an L.A. events promoter, served Hilton’s attorney with a “cease and desist” order, and has also applied for a restraining order against the socialite.

Reportedly, in legal papers Quintana said Hilton has bombarded him with threatening phone calls threatening to destroy his friendship with Niarchos. Quintana also alleges that Hilton has a drug problem. He reportedly played a recorded phone conversation to a newspaper in which a female he claims to be Hilton, screams obscenities and insists that Quintana is a pathetic loser.
