Fingers Crossed for Jonathan

Dale is *slowly* starting to feel better--he had a proper breakfast this morning for the first time in over a week, but he's awfully fatigued and congested. I, on the other hand, am greatly improved and would say I'm about 90-95% my normal self. Good thing, since in 10 minutes I'm leaving to take Jonathan to the after-hours clinic. Fingers crossed, everyone! I *do not* want him to get the flu; he should never have to feel like I did. What a bummer for him too to get sick on his spring break. We're going b/c he had a fever last night--went from 99.8 to 100.6 in less than an hour, but then it did go back down and was back at 99.8 this morning. He had 3 pancakes for breakfast . . . we're hoping he's not getting it. Please, don't let him get sick too! He had to miss out on morning cuddles in bed with Joy & Brian today in case he has the flu.

We Are All Woeful Here

Wretched, awful, horrible week. I got the flu last Sunday morning--fever all day, up to over 102, which broke that night but left me with an awful headache on Monday. Finally Monday evening that went away and I felt great, marvelous, wonderful! I even changed the sheets on the bed, I was so sure I was done with whatever I'd fought off. Then a hour or so before going to bed I got a little cough--and got barely no sleep that night for coughing. Tuesday woke up with horrible congestion, and I did not start feeling like myself until yesterday (Saturday).

Dale was lovely, getting up and making Jonathan's lunches and doing everything by himself in the mornings (usually we do it together) to get him off to school, and he also took care of Kayleigh. She was thrilled to spend so much time with her daddy, either just playing or in his arms or out on a walk with him.

Unfortunately now Dale has something in his throat (he's got a dr.'s appt this afternoon), and Kayleigh herself is not all that well--congestion, mainly. Hopefully she'll get better soon. Jonathan has remained unscathed so far.

NOT the kind of household we wanted to have to welcome Joy and Brian with tomorrow!
