Mom & Dad return to the States today after a month’s holiday in Europe. It sounds like they had a great time hanging out with various friends in various cities over there; I’m sure Mom will do one of her massive blog entries with pictures soon so we can hear all about it. I’m just glad they’re back in town! I missed being able to give them a call to have a quick chat whenever I felt like it. Who knew when I was a teenager that I would want to talk to my mommy & daddy so much as an adult . . .

We had a wonderful time - Pat has convinced me to do a trip summary and he will post the pictures. It will take some time to weed through the pics because Pat took 1000 - one of the disadvantages of digital photography. It was interesting to be in Europe while the economy in the US was falling apart and the last few days to watch it fall apart in Europe as well - it is certainly a global economy. It was also interesting to read and hear the opinions about the George W. administration - not at all popular. Our friend, M in Hamburg says that George W. will not be a welcome visitor to any country in Europe after he leaves office. love,mom
