Thanks for Birthday Wishes

Many, many thanks to everyone who called to wish me a happy birthday. Who could believe I’m already 37?!?

I had a very pleasant morning while Dale got up & looked after the kiddiewinks—stretched diagonally across our king-sized bed and enjoyed having it all to myself. Eventually Jonathan, Kayleigh, and Dale came in singing “Happy Birthday”, and then Jonathan and Kayleigh took turns bringing me my presents to open in bed. It was fun to have little hands helping me rip off the paper.

In the afternoon, even though it was a little on the chilly side, the kids and I bundled up and went to a nearby playscape to run around for a while (okay, I read a Tom Clancy book on a bench while they ran around), and then we went to a coffee shop for hot drinks and snacks. Dale came up there to collect the children, and I went to the movie house next door to see Pan’s Labyrinth, which Dale had seen a few weeks ago and highly recommended. It was in Spanish with English subtitles, and sure enough it was so good that I forgot I was reading subtitles.

On the way home I picked up some P. F. Chang’s so I wouldn’t have to cook (and Dale wouldn’t have to wash up). Happy Birthday to me!

I, too, saw Pan's Labyrinth (last Thursday). Thought it was excellent and can't wait for it to come out on DVD to add to my collection (so I can muster the courage to watch the scenes I closed my eyes at and so that G can see it as I'd gone with Gail).
Note: This stupid thing wouldn't take my post with my h**mail email address...said it was questionable content. Oh, mighty webmaster, can u fix. Now, it objects to " " which I can't even find here. Good grief!
