Hmmm, the blogging world seems to be fairly quiet these days. Doesn’t anyone have any news, or is it all the same old humdrum existence out there these days?
Jonathan is lovely and very excited about his upcoming trip to England with his dad (28 May - 13 June). I can’t believe he had only 6 or 7 more weeks left of kindergarten. His handwriting is vastly improved, as is his coloring, from the beginning of the school year. He’s enjoying playing Subbuteo with his dad and also getting cuddle from his baby sister, who still adores him terribly and reaches out to cuddle him when we pick him up from school.
Kayleigh is starting to stand up without holding onto anything for support. Seems every day she can do it longer. She likes to “go walkies” holding onto our hands, and sometimes she can be prevailed upon to just hold one hand, although that often has the effect of making her go in a big circle, like in a canoe when you paddle on only one side. She also has five teeth now—two front ones plus one incisor on the left side, and the two bottom middle teeth. Besides adoring Jonathan, she also worships Magda and would really like to crawl into her lap and just sit on her, claiming her as her property, if the adults would only give her the chance. As it is, she has to settle for squeezing Magda’s leg and patting her hair, as she did at lunch today at the new Whole Foods downtown. She also kept a close eye on her Auntie Jenny and waved forlornly every time Jfer went off for water or utensils or something, and then when Jfer reappeared there were great grins as a reward.

I wish you could bring Kayleigh and Jonathan for a visit to Wichita Falls one weekend, like Jenny did with Magda. Who knows when I'll ever get the chance to travel again even if it is only 5 hours away.
I think it is wonderful that Jonathan gets to travel to England. That will certaintly be a different and exciting experience for him. Why aren't you and Kayleigh going along, or is this just a father & son bonding trip?
Posted by: Theresa on April 13, 2005 06:57 AMI've got a couple of things to blog about, but haven't been able to find the time to sit at the computer for any length of time. The last couple of nights as I drft off to sleep I find myself mentally reminding myself of everything I want to write about. Maybe Magda will give me an hour right now to catch up on all my computer stuff.
BTW - We had a lovely time with you at Whole Foods. I'm taking Mom there tomorrow for lunch if you would care to join us.
