Sweaty . . . And It Feels Good

With a little help from my sweetheart, who pumped up my bike tires for me and reattached the pedals, I just went out on a quick little 30-minute bike ride. It felt great! First time I’ve been on the bike since last fall. It’s pretty hot outside but there was a nice breeze when on the bike; now I’m cooling down before hopping in the shower. I’m very proud of myself for getting out there and doing something good for my body.

And a happy coincidence is that I get my post-partum massage from our doula this afternoon. I’ve been waiting for that ever since I had Kayleigh! Hard to believe that’s over two months ago.

My goal on the bike ride was to see if I could find a shortcut for walking to school (or rather, walking home from school) with Jonathan (kindergarten starts two weeks from Monday). I did find one, I think, but I’ll need to walk it myself first to make sure I think it’s okay to do as it involves walking past the area on the other side of our neighbor’s at the end of the road.
