Music by Dale

Dale has set up a home page that contains links to three tracks (mp3 format) that he has written recently. Dale started building a home studio when our friend Andy was here in February (they met through the band Deep South that Dale used to play in), and it has grown into something pretty impressive. Much of it is possible because our main computer is now an iMac (we have the 15”, not the 17” widescreen), and equipment just works seamlessly with it.

The home page looks good - as you can imagine on my laptop and non roadrunner connection I didn't do very well in accessing the music. Maybe when I'm in Austin...

The music sounds wonderful. I really like the look of Dale's page.

I totally agree with Cynthia about the downloading. It took about 12-14 minutes to download each one. So much for Netzero HiSpeed surfing. Although the provider did say that it wouldn't speed up the transfer of music, video, or photo files. I did download the first two songs listed and I really enjoyed both of them.

That's too bad it's taking you guys so long (or you're even totally unsuccessful) to listen to the music. I guess maybe anyone w/o a broadband connection shouldn't even bother clicking on Dale's links for the music--going to the page itself should be okay, though.

I just checked, and it took about 4 seconds for the music to start playing once I clicked the link. It definitely seems to work better using Internet Explorer rather than Netscape, too. Netscape has given me errors and shut down 3 out of 4 times, but IE has done okay.

I really enjoyed hearing your music which I was able to make happen in about 20 seconds. Will look forward to more on your page if Elizabeth will continue to nudge me.

I still have my "Eat the Beaver" shirt Dale gave me when I visited Tina in London.
