Our air conditioner has been running constantly for at least 2-1/2 hours now. It is so HOT! It’s now 7 o’clock in the evening, and it’s cooled all the way down to a lovely brisk 98 degrees—that’s 37 Celsius for those of you over the pond. I don’t want to be hot anymore.
Posted by elizabeth at August 5, 2003 06:54 PMLucky You!! Yesterday, I worked at PPG where there in no air conditioning in the Wareroom. We had a whopping high of 109 degrees! Lucky for me I was only in the Wareroom for an accumalative (sp?) time of of two and a half hours out of twelve. Thanking the powers that be...I will be working in the QC lab for the next month at the very least and it does have air conditioning...PHEWWW!!!
Posted by: Theresa on August 5, 2003 09:45 PMHere in Chi-town, it is, and has been, absolutely balmy. 82 degrees now with lovely temps in the sixties for sleeping comfort. I have no AC and few problems - the only snag is the occasional high humidity day - getting dressed is like trying to struggle into a wet bathing suit! I'm going to miss some aspects of Chicago!
Posted by: Leah on August 6, 2003 10:15 AMHave you seen how hot it is in England and Paris - how are Joy and Brian doing with the heat wave?
Posted by: Cynthia on August 7, 2003 07:05 AMOkay, Okay! John called me today at work to report he heard on the radio that Katy had a temperature of 110 degrees and, with the heat index, it was 125. Boy, I love air conditioning.
