I LOVE CHRISTMAS BREAK!
It has to be one of the most wondeful times of years for any one of college age. I can sleep? Wha!? Sleep?! I’m glad I stay up too late at night and still wake up too early to reap its benefits. Ah well, such is life. :)
Also, last week, I turned 22.
That makes me feel old. 22 is the first time I have felt old, and that is quite sad because of how many more are in the future (or I hope). I have been an adult for one year, and thus, I realize the promise that I’m supposed to have. (Ha, promise right?) Ah, naiveity. I don’t know anything! I guess that’s why life is such an adventure. I had a good birthday dinner at The Cheescake Factory with a bunch of special people in my life.
I never thought it was fair that my birthday was during finals. Sometimes, you just want to celebrate! I remember two years ago I was stuck in the library for 14 hours studying for one class. Not fun! But it’s so quintessential of that day while in college. It’s just a phase that is more than worth all the sacrifices.
During the break, I hope to get a couple of things accomplished. I will be working (and hopefully getting marketing experience), studying (yay right?), researching /playing with a FORTRAN program, spending time with friends, and SLEEP (like I said earlier).
I hope to cherish the wonderful moments with my family and friends as much as I can. You know what that means? LOTS OF PICTURES. :)
