I Guess My Resume Was Not Good Enough

Wow. I can’t believe it’s been a month since I’ve updated. Life just goes faster than I can imagine although I’m can’t quite decide if that’s a good thing or a bad thing. I also can’t believe that I’m a junior in college now. I remember being a freshman in my beginning engineering classes wishing that it would get harder. I’m kind of regretting that now. Classes are getting very busy, but I can actually say that I am enjoying my classes (well, minus Bioelectronics. Bioelectronics is the longest 150 minutes out of my week). My classes are Biofluid Mechanics, Biomaterials, and Mathematical Biology. Lots of work, but I don’t mind when I actually like the classes that I’m taking. I’m hoping to co-op in the upcoming Spring, Summer, or Fall semester for 3-4 semesters. At this point, I will take anything to give me a chance of actual working and living like an adult and not as a student. Sometimes it does get old. Our career fair is tomorrow, and I think I am ready for it. I have a story about this though.

So, because this is a career fair, a resume would be important to hand out. I formatted and perfected my resume and printed it off so that copies could be made. After class, I went to Copy Center to print my resume off on nice, linen paper. I opened the copy machine, put my resume down, closed the lid, and selected one print out. I hear this noise and then there is no copy coming out. I open the lid, and around the reel, here is my resume ruined. This was not the way to make me relax. Luckily, I sent myself a hard copy though my email account, so I could pull it up and redit minor details (like spaces, periods, etc). They printed the good copy off, and then they told me, “oh don’t worry, you don’t have to pay for the copies you made” You think? So, it was a very stressful time at the Copy Center.

Hopefully that was a good story that people enjoyed.

This Weekend *sigh*

This must not have been my weekend. Not only did my cell phone break, but when I tried to get onto my computer, it tells me “hard drive not found.” What a great way to start one of the worst, busy weeks of my Fall 2005 school year.
