This is about college football. I know not all of you care, but you know what? I do.
Today was both the Cotton Bowl and the Rose Bowl, and I don’t think I have ever had so much fun watching football.
First, Texas A&M played University of Tennessee, and we lost horribly (38 to 7) even though favored to win. We scored a touchdown in the last 6 minutes or so, and during that time, I was in the fetal position on the couch wondering why we are so horrible. When we scored a touchdown, I not only woke up John, but I also fell flat on my face. Needless to say, I was estatic.
Then, here comes the Rose Bowl with Michigan and Texas. BEST FREAKIN’ GAME EVER. I was very happy. BEST GAME EVER. I don’t think I have been this happy in my life. Seriously. Texas won (37-36) even though we were losing the last 2 seconds of the game. Hook ‘em.
I knew I was a longhorn at heart, and today reconfirmed why. (Well, not entirely, but you get the picture.)
As I think about this, I know my dad would be proud of me. He always used to like football ALOT, and I never used to understand why. I do now. Too bad his team lost (bama to minnesota). That’s okay though. There’s always another year.
awww. :)
Tomorrow is when I move back to College Station. I’m ready to be back there, but I’m sure not ready to actually do it. That’s one of the things I don’t like about college. You move in and out so many times, and of course, there are NEVER enough parking spaces. Police are always ticketing people. It makes one wonder how this is a happy transition.
I can’t believe I’m starting my 4th semester of college. Wow. Just wow. Almost half way through (basically). Good thing I really don’t know what I want to do with my life. I’m sure there are a lot of people out there like that. How many of you are doing the same thing that you wished to when you were 18-22 years old? I bet not a lot. Life is just like that. All the suprises. :)
I love it.
And since everyone makes New Year’s Resolutions, I plan (that means, not definite) on:
1) Running the Freescale Austin Marathon Feb. 13, 2005, but only the half. That is also if I don’t have a test the next day or so.
2) Washing my face every single night. (this is big for me)
That’s all that I have right now.
P.S. Check out my mom’s entry on our wonderful evening at Brennan’s.
It’s nice to back on campus and in College Station, although very distant from my family, whom I love so very much.
My classes seem to be going well right now. Today I had a quiz get cancelled! That’s rather exciting.
I think my hardest class will be BMEN 240, which is Biosolid Mechanics with one of the smartest professors in the world. Dr. Criscione is what we call him, and he happens to be one of the leaders in mechanobiology and biomechanics IN THE WORLD. I mean, that is why I chose A&M.
Nothing is as nice as just having dinner with friends when you don’t have too much homework to do. Today I ate dinner with Jonny and Kelly. We like to do that because it’s fun, and it’s a nice way to take a break from school. Here is a picture of me and Jonny:
