Late Night Wonder

I have just realized that most of the entries that I make, I am always exhausted when I write them. As as result, this can be blamed for some of my incoherence. For instance, right now, my eyes are about to close shut on themselves just like a snapping turtle and finger relate, but alas, I’m still writing an entry because I want to. Maybe in the morning, I should proofread. I guess I’ll just update with how this week went—-seeing as it is my first week back from school.

My Classes:
MATH 308 (Differential Equations)
ENGR 211 (Principles of Statics and Structures in Engineering)
BMEN 289 (Biomechanics)
VTTP 334 (Physiology I)
KINE 198 (Health Fitness and Conditioning)

Monday: Perfect first day. I went to physiology and statics. School aside, I had a hospital orientation. I will be volunteering in the oncology section.
Tuesday: I went to differential equations and biomechanics. Biomechanics is going to be a REALLY interesting class. yay :). I had a two hour band rehearsal. I also went to the bookstore.
Wednesday: Same as Monday, except I found that one of my best friends is in this section. We ate dinner after class together.
Thursday: Same as Tuesday, except I had a physiology lab. We took a pre-assesment quiz that we were all supposed to fail. (not for a grade). I think I got a 4 on it, and that makes me happy.
Friday: Went to my 8 o clock :( kinesiology class. About half of the class found a room , but supposively, it was the wrong one. We just laughed. After class, I went to go get my TB test checked out for the 2nd time. Negative! Then, I went to physiology, then the room, then a 20 minute nap, then the rec center. I took a free aerobics class, and I was about to die. I’m glad I didn’t. I chilled in my room for about a while, and I drove home to see Hannah and Rachel.

I shall be back up in College Station at 4:30 or so for the first volleyball game of the season which I’ll be playing (trumpet) at. 7 pm. UCLA. I hope we win.

Nite nite.

Lovin’ this Life

I’m a little sleepy, but since I just got back from my room doing statics problems at a friend’s house AND my awesome roommate is up still on her 20th birthday :), I’ll write and share the world with my happenings.

Classes:

My classes are going well even though they are sometimes more demanding than I wish for them to be. I go from a chronic state of exhaustation to a state of frustration to another state of happiness and enjoyment all in one second. I love school, but some of the things we have to do makes me question sometimes why tuition is so high. For example, in my biomechanics class (a major specific engineering class), the homework assignments that have been assigned thus far consist of 1. write a 3 page paper over vectors 2. write a 2 page paper summarizing thermal damage. I have to add that these assignments are not totally related to the course of study. They are not only too vague, but they don’t coincide with what we learn. Oh well. I guess that’s just a public college for you and very elite professors.

Chicken Soup:

Chicken soup, you ask? Well, when I think of chicken soup, I think of things of the soul and laughter. I have been having alot of fun up here and have already met alot of cool people. If know one knows, I joined the Hullabulloo Band on campus (a volleyball and basketball band). When I first joined, I was just doing it for fun, but soon did I realize that there were “rewards” involved. Not only do we get a $15/game stipend, we also get total reimbursement of our all sports pass (pre bought tickets to all the athletic events…retail value: $250). This is the way I see it.

1. I get to play my trumpet which I love.
2. I get to meet cool people with the same interest.
3. I get paid to watch a fun game.
4. I might be able to go to Long Beach, California for free (i.e. Championship for Volleyball)

Of the I don’t know where to put this:

Last year, I joined a intramural outdoor soccer team…C division. This semester, I think I’m joining an indoor socccer team…A division! It turns out that that’s the only one where there was an empty slot :). Should I remind people that I’ve NEVER played indoor soccer before? haha…this should be interesting.

Of the funny and random:

Today, I was sitting in my room casually checking my email when something piqued my interest. It turned out to be a comment left on this website where I have a couple pictures (I think in September 2003). Obviously, he is not American, and the translation is just really funny. My roommate and I were cracking up laughing.

No controversies, girl!!!!
YouŽre very, very beutiful.
Probably IŽll never meet you, cause I live so far away from you (You live on US or UK, I guess)
IŽm student too and I donŽt know how I find your page. I didŽnt could imagine find so beautiful image on web. You remind me an old music…
” She is a special Lady, SheŽs a very exciting girl…”. As you can see, when I find a pretty woman, I donŽt know what to say… KISSES.
Ps. Enjoy yourself whit the differential equations. ItŽs a little hard do learn, but it worth the work. YouŽll never be a good engineer without a good background on math. Keep this wonderful smile on your face and put more pictures in your page.

It was kinda freaky at first, but now it’s just laughable.

Well, I’m tired and have another wonderful week of school ahead of me :)

It Has Been Requested…

…of me to put a picture up by my awesome friend in Brazil. Let’s see what I can find. (searches for picture)

Gosh. I really do love freshman year memories, but even more so, I love the ones which I am going to make this year.

I Know You Wanted to Learn Some Biomechanics Today

I was studying biomechanics when I decided to take this picture to show to “the world” what it actually is. (Also, I just like to procrastinate as well.)

You know you want to. :)

Ah well.

Life has been fun. I had a differential equations test on Tuesday. I walked into the exam being as prepared as I could be, but get this—-when I walked in and saw the test, it said, “You may use your book, notes, or MATLAB.” THIS WAS A BIG SHOCKER. An open note exam in college? No way. I didn’t even use the books or notes or computer, but it was a great relief knowing that I had a “security blanket” with me.

This weekend, I don’t have too much planned expept for attending the Kansas State football game with Johnny, Taryn, Amy, Brandon, and Michelle. It’ll be lots of fun, and I hope to take many pictures.

Well, that’s a good enough update for the time being. Have a wonderful day/week..etc.
