Happy New Year everybody! In case anyone is intersested, over the Christmas holiday I found a girlfriend! Well, we found each other. Her name is Makeda, she is 26 years of age, and she is in the nursing field. Specifically, she helps take care of Alzheimer's patients. Any other questions that I have not answered? I wanted to thank everybody who has posted on my blog, it really makes my day to see so many encouraging words about the choices I am making now. Margeret, I found the information about your employer very interesting, it makes me wonder what I will be accomplishing twenty years from now! This weekend is drill time again, except this time we will be doing PT, so I am sure that when I get home I will be exhausted. As to when I will be going active, Leah is going to talk to a pro-active recruiter that she knows about my situation. But I want to go active ASAP. I look at it this way, for two days/mo. I get $180 (before taxes). We don't have Tri-Care benefits in the Reserve right now but the powers that be are trying to resolve that. In case you are wondering what Tri-Care is, I think it is Health, Dental, and Vision. Over the past week I journeyed to Great Lakes Naval Base and got my Military I.D. made. I have already used it twice to get discounts (Hee-hee). The first time was on the train ride back to Chicago. The trip there cost me $4.50, the return trip was only two dollars. The second time I used it was at the movies I paid 5.50 for the late showing. Speaking of which, has anyone seen The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King? That is the one I saw and I thought it was best of the three. Ok, I think I have rambled enough for one entry, so I shall sign off now.
PS my Christmas and New Years hollidays were great!
