12/10/03

Hi again all
Here I am at the Library checking my mail and the postings. I am so sad, no one made a comment on the posting I put on Courtney's "What I Want" post.... Boooooo hooooo. Not really, I just thought I would try and be cute. I have another drill this weekend and then Sunday Leah will be leaving for three weeks. I have a lot of responsibility piled on my shoulders due to that but I can handle it. If anyone would like to send me a Christmas card this year you may do so. My address is 1765-D6 E. 55th St. Chicago IL, 60615-5987. If I receive a card, you will hear from me in writing. I promise! Has anyone else received the Dear Dog letter from my mother? If so, what are your thoughts? I thought it was precious. I wonder who wrote it and who they sent it to? I think I am about done with this entry, now I shall go and peruse the hub. Adios.

As I told my dad the other day, just because no one posted anything in response to a comment you write, that doesn't mean no one read it & chuckled at it (when appropriate, of course).

How are the drills going? When do you start full-time? How do you feel about it all? (That could be a great blog entry.) You seem to have taken charge of your life--congratulations on being able to do that so young! Some people go their whole lives and never figure it out.

I haven't done my Xmas cards yet, but when I do I'll make sure to send yours via Leah. Good luck with the three weeks on your own.

I sent you a christmas card jointly with Leah...Did you get it? I sent out about 50 cards, so I mainly just signed my name to them. I am not sure if I made any personal notes in your card. IF not, I do hope you have a very lovely Christmas...Hey! where is Leah going?

I'm sure the cats (and Leah) will greatly appreciate your diligence while she is out of town.

Thanks for posting your address. If I do get around to sending out cards, I'll be sure to send one your way. If not, I hope you have a very Merry Christmas and Wonderful New Year.

Love,

I did go to Courtney's blog and checked out your comment among all the others. So be sure to go back and recheck her comment section. I want to thank you for mentioning the "Letter to My Dog". It was written by Bruce Cameron who is a humor column writer and he lives in Denver, CO. You should check out his website brucecameron.com. and subscribe to his e-mailings. Be on the lookout for a money mailer/Christmas card. I wish you didn't have to spend Christmas alone. We are all hungry for news, so post in your blog more often, and I will try to do the same.

Leah will be spending her third Christmas in a row in Bethesda Maryland on active duty at the Naval Hospital. This is the last and final period of active duty - retirement in June! I know this isn't my blog, and that I should be writing this on my own page, and that is what I will try to do tomorrow.

...and her (Leah's) last year! Yay!!!! Brian, I'm sooo impressed with your transformation! You know, Leah is forever bragging on you. You are becoming quite the young man with most admirable qualities. I know how hard it can be to make some choices, but it appears you've made the right ones. I think the military will be a great experience for you and full of future opportunities (The CEO/Chairman of the Board [Gordon Bethune) at my company, Continental Airlines started his career in the Navy; I don't know if you know the history of CAL, but he literally turned the company around and rescued from the near-depths of CH 7? 11? I'm not sure which one...the point is, he saved it and he started out in the navy...just as your are now doing; so, even though you are just starting out, you never know where you will end up...one step leads to another). Wish you could be here to spend Xmas with us. Maybe next year.?
LXO,
Auntie M

Hey, stumbled across this page and bryan seems to be a lot like my exboyfriend
I had to keep reading to be sure it wasn't him! Especially the mention of Auntie M and drills, Oy veh!

Not the bryan I'm talking about, though. God Speed, my good man.
